Controls for permissions, AI processing, correction, feedback-board deletion, and Strata account deletion.Effective August 9, 2026

Access and correction

Most planning, habit, journal, timer, profile, and shared content can be reviewed or corrected directly in Strata. For an additional access or correction request, begin through Support.

Device permissions

Microphone, Photos, Calendar, and Notifications permissions can be withdrawn in iOS Settings. Removing a permission can disable the related feature but does not delete information already saved to your Strata account.

AI choices

Creating a new Strata account requires you to affirmatively select an initially unchecked acknowledgement: Allow Strata to send information needed for AI features to OpenAI. Strata stores a limited versioned approval record containing the OpenAI provider name, acknowledgement policy version, and server acceptance time; it does not contain your prompts or other AI content. Accounts created before this requirement must grant permission before their next AI request. Strata does not send an AI request until permission has been granted for the signed-in account.

You can revoke OpenAI processing permission in Strata Settings. Future AI requests remain blocked until you grant permission again, while non-AI planning and tracking features continue to work. Revocation does not remove the historical account-creation acknowledgement, which remains until account deletion. Friends information is not automatically included in your AI requests. You can independently disable persistent AI memory so later requests do not read or save account-level planning summaries and preferences, and you can clear previously saved AI memory from Settings.

Planner reports and diagnostics

Report Chat is optional. Before submission, Strata shows a confirmation explaining that the visible chat and recent structured planner diagnostics will be sent to Support. Those bounded diagnostics can include observable request context, model and version details, structured plan stages, validation results, timing, outcome, and safe error information, but not private hidden AI reasoning, credentials, authentication tokens, or attached image and audio contents. Private diagnostic and report records receive an expiration about 72 hours after creation, although asynchronous deletion can take a limited additional period. A smaller, deeply sanitized support copy and resulting correspondence may be kept longer for investigation and support records.

Retention analytics choices

Privacy-limited retention analytics are separate from the required OpenAI acknowledgement, optional, and off by default. You can independently enable them during account creation or in Settings, and disable them later from Settings. A consent choice belongs only to the account that made it on that device; another account does not inherit it. When enabled, PostHog receives a separate random analytics identifier, one retention-started event, at most one app-active event per UTC day, and standard network request metadata. Strata keeps the Firebase UID used for the local account match on the device and does not send PostHog that UID, your email, screen views, feature usage, or event content.

Friends choices

A verified account receives a Friends identity automatically. When safe and usable, the first word of the Firebase Authentication display name becomes the initial display name and username base, with a short uniqueness suffix added only if needed; otherwise Strata uses neutral random defaults. The identity is never derived from the email address, and a customized Friends profile is preserved. There is no browsable directory, and productivity details remain private until you accept a request and choose per-friend sharing. You can edit profile text, control sharing, privately report a profile, or block another user; blocking removes the connection and pending requests in both directions and prevents discovery, profile and shared-data access, new requests, accepts, and nudges until you unblock. Unblocking does not restore the friendship.

Delete feedback-board data only

Sign in to the feedback board and select “Delete my feedback-board data.” This removes your feature requests, comments, votes, reports, and random board identity without deleting the rest of your Strata account. This board-only control is optional and is not a prerequisite for full account deletion.

Delete your Strata account

Open Strata, go to Settings, choose Delete account, review the warning, and confirm. Full deletion automatically includes your authentication account, associated private app data, and linked feedback-board identity, requests, comments, votes, and reports. Most requests finish immediately. If provider cleanup must continue, Strata reports whether sign-in was disabled, securely retains an opaque confirmation reference on that device, and lets the signed-out app check progress for up to 30 days. Requests that cannot finish automatically are escalated for support review. See the dedicated deletion instructions.

Access and export requests

Strata does not currently provide a one-tap self-service export in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, object to, restrict, or delete personal information. Start a request through the Support page.
